Patient-Centric & Prospective Medicine Project

In partnership with Ralph Snyderman, Chancellor Emeritus, Duke University Medical Center, we are conducting research and programs on the value of new drugs, molecular diagnostics and new treatment approaches such as Avastin and Lucentis compared to price driven ways of providing care. Two new studies will stress the value of targeted therapies for Alzheimer�s and various cancers in the face of a new effort to deny access to such treatments using the cost-effectiveness standards of health systems in Canada and Great Britain. We are also sponsoring a series of conferences that are bringing together patient groups, researchers, stakeholders and payors to focus attention on research that measures the value of new medicines and efforts to apply such findings to rewarding their use.
